Leah Brady

Director/Owner Since 2015

An alumna of BSDPA, Leah received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Kent State University in 2008. While at Kent, Leah performed in works by Cliff Keuter, Kimberly Karpanty, Kora Radella, Gina Kohler and other various choreographers. Leah was also honored to have a featured role in American modern dance pioneer, May O'Donnell's historical work, Suspension (1943), reconstructed and staged by Barbara Allegra Verlezza and Sabatino Verlezza. Upon graduation, Leah furthered her professional career with Project606 in Chicago, Illinois, a Modern Dance Company, for three years. In 2012, Leah moved back to New York and starting teaching at BSDPA under former owner, Lindsey Rozzi in 2012, and took over as owner in August of 2015.

Kiana Cotton

Instructor Since 2019

An alumna of BSDPA, Kiana has been dancing for fifteen years and remained actively involved at the studio. She was an assistant teacher, intern, as well as a substitute teacher. Kiana graduated from Genesee Community College with an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2019. During her time there, she performed in multiple dance showcases as well as captained the Dance Team. Kiana is currently a student at SUNY Brockport where she is pursuing a BA in Dance.

Katherine Rubenacker

Instructor Since 2015

A BSDPA alumna, Kathy went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Dance at SUNY Potsdam. While at Potsdam, she performed in 18 student and faculty works, one mainstage theatre production, as well as danced in a TedTalk. She was honored to represent her college three years in a row as a dancer at the American College Dance Association. Upon graduating,  Kathy danced with a modern dance company based out of Queens, NY  for 1 year. She received her Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Niagara University in 2022. In addition to teaching at Brockport School of Dance and Performing Arts, Kathy also teaches 4th grade in the Greece Central School District.

 

Stephanie Tozer

Head Ballet Teacher/ Instructor since 2008

An alumna of BSDPA, Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Arts for Children in May of 2012. Stephanie then continued her studies at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf/Rochester Technical Institute and received her Bachelor of Science in American Sign Language/English Interpreting.

Abbey Wright

Instructor Since 2020

An alumna of BSDPA, Abbey danced at BSDPA for 14 years. In past years, Abbey was an assistant instructor and dance sub while she was a student at BSDPA. Abbey is currently a student at SUNY Brockport and studying Dance and Business. She is excited to still be apart of her childhood studio while she continues her higher dance education.
